4:00 A.M. Departure to Paracas - Arrival at the Ballestas Islands We will depart very early from your hotel in the districts of Miraflores or San Isidro. If you are staying in other districts, we will indicate a nearby meeting point. During the approximately 4-hour journey, we will make a stop at a typical road side café to enjoy coffee and the famous wood-fired stuffed breads, prepared on-site in artisanal ovens. Finally, we will arrive at the Paracas port, El Chaco, where we will board a boat to the Ballestas Islands. On the way, we will admire El Candelabro, a mysterious geoglyph 180 meters long and 1.2 meters deep, visible only from the sea or theair. Upon arrival at the Ballestas Islands, we will witness incredible rock formations and marine wild life: guano birds, Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and with some luck, even dolphins. This tour is conducted entirely from the boat, giving you the opportunity to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Sightings of various species are common, though their presence depends on natural factors in the area. After the boat tour, we will taste the famous chocotejas, a traditional regional sweet made with pecans and milk caramel, and you will have a few free minutes to explore Paracas Bay. In the exceptional case of high tides preventing navigation for safety reasons, we will visit the Paracas National Reserve, a 335,000-hectare area known for its unique landscape sand history as anancient marine zone. Transportation - Lunch in the City of Ica - PiscoTasting We will continue our journey to the city of Ica, where we will enjoy a typical regional lunch included in the tour. The Ica region is known for its Creole dishes.We will present four typical dishes for you to choose from, accompanied by an appetizer. After lunch, it will be time to taste the famous Peruvian Pisco. We will try wines, piscos, pisco creams, and artisanal local sweet liqueurs, accompanied by fun regional sayings. Depending on the group's schedule, lunch may be served before or after the visit to Huacachina. Transportation - Tour of Huacachina We will head to the oasis of Huacachina, a paradise in the middle of the Ica desert. Here the adventure begins with an exciting high-speed dune buggy ride, an experience full of adrenaline. This activity is not recommended for elderly people, pregnant women, or those with heart problems, as the ride involves abrupt and demanding off-road movements. You can also try sandboarding, which includes a special board to slide down the dunes while sitting or lying down. If you prefer stand-up sandboarding, you can choose our private tour and add this activity as an extra. 10:30 P.M. Return to Lima After this incredible experience,we will return to Lima on a roughly 4-hour trip. We will arrive at your hotel in Miraflores or San Isidro around 10:30 P.M.
